Website review for email spam checker and heat map prediction — Unspam.email.

INTRODUCTION

I am a critical observer and analyst with experience spanning more than one decade. I look at everything through the lens of perfection and accuracy. It is my strong belief that this review shall be carried out from the perspectives of my two special skills mentioned above. I am going to state my observations the way they appear most objectively. However, this review’s content does not automatically justify or negate the final decision when It is taken.

OVERVIEW

The website will definitely be appealing to anyone. This is because the layout, though simple, is very effective. The site layout will make the user feel comfortable and also have an assurance that he or she has visited the right site. Even someone without any technical background would find it easy to use. You will be assured that you will find everything you want regarding the email spam tester.

The site logo was also neatly done. It looked simple but very professional. Great kudos must be given to the designer of that logo. The graphics are very minimal, and they load very fast. The blue color also, in one way, describe the ease you are going to have using the website. It is also easy to navigate this site because the links are on the top right of the webpage, and with a single click, you will see a drop-down button containing the features link of the website’s service. The information thereof is obvious and easily accessed by the user.

The key features of the service rendered by the website are listed and explained in such a way that even a first-timer can understand. After reading and understanding those key features, must down, on the same webpage, you can decide to act on the information you have read above with the “get started” option.

The content on the front page does not contain too much information. This is highly commendable. The load time of the page is fast, and it does not require extra-strong bandwidth to access. I did not find any typos or broken links. The overall information was well written.

Furthermore, the site does not require any form of plugins, and unwanted ads are far from it. It does not also require downloading any software. Another unique feature is the ability to test the efficiency of the tool without signing up. This enables the user to know exactly how the tool works. However, it was observed that the portion of that page where you send an email to the testing address is somewhat slow in processing. I want to believe it is because of the scanning process. If this process can be faster, it would be nicer.

Signing up to the Unspam is very simple. It takes approximately two minutes to sign up, confirm, and log in. The process is the same for all categories of devices used to sign up. You can also, from the drop-down at the top right of the webpage, update your profile. One unique feature of that profile portion is the freedom granted the user to remove his account completely. This proves to the user that this service is not being forced on anyone. It was observed that the only items functioning in the capacities of the names or titles they bear are the profile and on the drop-down login/logout. The rest seems to be docile or not functional.

PRIVACY POLICY/ TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The privacy policy is not complicated at all. In fact, little or no information is what is required by the service provider. The summary of the information to be collected from you are listed below:

  • First and last name;
  • Email address;
  • Company name;
  • Country location;
  • Mailing address;
  • Phone number.

Although, as other websites do, they automatically collect information about your IP address, browser type, browser version, and the pages of their service you visit, not leaving out the date and time you visited. All mentioned are called “log data.” Google analytic tools could also be called upon to increase what is called “service functionality.”

This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

Third parties (legal entities) may partake of the information about you if it involves fraud or may jeopardize the service’s smooth running. However nice this part is, it is no news that identity theft is the number one internet crime in the world we are in. Identity theft has, over the r years, been used to carry out some of the deadliest atrocities in the world. This should be stated clearly on the third-party involvement.

The security of information was guaranteed but not at 100 percent. This means information is safe to a certain extent, not neglecting the fact that it could be compromised.

The terms and conditions are not difficult to understand. The service provider stated that he is solely responsible for whatever he puts on the website. Also, certain changes can come to the service without consulting the users. Content may be re-written, graphics may change, etc. These are not farfetched as long as it does not affect the quality of the product.

On the one hand, only if you are more than 13 years can you be allowed to use their service. It is clearly stated that the service is not meant for children. There is also a conditional term of privacy for those living in California. Certain clauses in their region protect them.

HOW IT WORKS

https://unspam.email/

The service works by sending an email to the address at the bar indicated on the webpage. When this email is sent, it is being analyzed in full. It identifies all the arrears of strength as well as areas that need improvement. When this is done, you view results and make necessary adjustments. When it is done, in your mail, you resend to the locator and repeat the entire process until you get it perfect. I believe this is not something very difficult to do regardless of expertise on mailing. After the steps have been carefully followed and sent to the locator email, you wait for the result to be displayed.

UNSPAM SCORE

The “unspam score” is well detailed. The aspect where it was stated that your email would be marked as spam if recipients mark it as spam is so much in order. This literally means no matter how professionally one package his mail no to land in the spam category, once the recipient has marked the mail as spam, it will remain as such until the recipient does otherwise. Also, the overview is user friendly. Anyone could easily know what areas to work on when he sees the results of the spam check.

The color separation can be improved on. One more color should be added to enable the user to know the negotiable scores from the non-negotiable scores. Blue (adequate, because it is the primary color for the site), yellow (depicting negotiable), and red (depicting non-negotiable) can be introduced instead. It should also be noted on what scale the results are placed. Is it on a scale of -5 to 5 or 0 to 10?

The email preview was neatly done. It has categories: desktops, tablets, and phones. There are specific arrangements and compatibility for each of the options available. There is a way the desktop version looks like that makes it very unique from the tablet and mobile versions. However, the overall outlook is the goal.

On the heat map, the attention map was well explained. The clarity map, too, will help with reducing redundant information. The way the email in question is graphically designed on the heat map is really depicting. A non-specialist would easily know the areas to or not to work on. Although, down, there is a part which says, “click to copy report link.” I don’t know what that is supposed to mean. It does not lead anywhere except you copy the URL under it and paste it in a separate tab. If it does not serve a specific purpose, it can be changed to “copy the link below and paste in a separate browser for the report link.”

CONCLUSION

The service generally is a quality service. The user will benefit immensely from it. Sensitive and important information, which have all ended in the spam, will find expression in inboxes. Emails that are subject to this service will find more acceptability, and everyone will be fine.

Great kudos to the team that produced this quality service. It is my sincere hope that the observations in this review are critically examined to make necessary adjustments or improvements.
